AI Cover Letter Studio

A job-application tool where users paste their resume and a job description, then AI creates a tailored, professional cover letter they can edit, restyle, and export in seconds.

Problem

Job seekers often need a cover letter for every serious job application, but writing a strong one each time is slow and stressful. A generic cover letter feels weak, while a personalized one requires understanding the company, matching the role requirements, connecting the candidate's experience to the job, and writing in a confident professional tone. Many applicants either skip the cover letter, reuse the same text, or spend too much time rewriting it manually. This is especially painful for students, career switchers, immigrants, junior developers, and busy professionals applying to many roles at once. They need a faster way to create a cover letter that feels specific, honest, and polished without starting from a blank page every time.

Target Customer

The first customers are active job seekers who apply to multiple roles and want each application to feel tailored: students, junior developers, career switchers, freelancers, professionals moving to a new company, and people applying in a second language. A second customer group is career coaches, resume writers, bootcamps, universities, and recruiting consultants. They help many people prepare applications and could use the product to generate better first drafts, speed up revisions, and offer cover letter support as part of a paid career service.

Public Teaser

Start with a simple workflow: the user pastes their resume, pastes the job description, chooses a tone, and receives a tailored cover letter draft in seconds. The product can highlight why each paragraph is relevant, let the user edit details, and export a clean final version. The early MVP does not need LinkedIn import or automatic job-site scraping. Copy-paste input is enough to validate demand. Later, the product can read job-description links, import user details from LinkedIn or an existing resume profile, generate multiple tone variants, and combine resume tailoring plus cover letters into one application studio.
